Amyco Industrial Doors Case Study

Established in 1984, Amyco specialise in the manufacture, installation and maintenance of industrial doors for blue chip commercial and private sector clients including Asda, Dunlop and Birmingham City Council. The company employ a team of thirteen mobile engineers. By 2007 Amoco had grown to a point where the manual administration system was struggling to cope with the volume of work. Jobs were recorded and tracked using paper based systems and spreadsheets. This meant that jobs could be missed and consequently sales invoices were not always raised for completed work.
In March 2007 the company implemented JobLogic from Tracer Management Systems in Birmingham. JobLogic provides a central database where the details of all customers can be held and queried on demand replacing numerous manual files. The ServLogic module provides call logging and job tracking for both installation and maintenance jobs. In addition the QuoLogic and CostLogic modules enables Amyco to log and track each enquiry, send out quotations and then upgrade orders to live jobs. Live jobs can then be status tracked through their lifetime to completion where they can be priced and invoiced. The LinkLogic module then allows Amyco to seamlessly link to their Sage Line 50 accounts system to avoid re-entering data twice.
Martin Grady Managing Director for Amyco Industrial Doors explained, "The JobLogic system was easy to set-up and ensures that we no longer have to worry about missing sales invoices. The quotation module has been vital to us by allowing us to log all enquiries and increase our order intake. Our only regret is that we didn't install JobLogic two years ago."
